This session will explore the importance of demonstrating cultural humility with both first and second generation immigrants. We will look at current research and students’ perspectives which will highlight how building relationships is the foundation of academic engagement and the development of resilience within students and their families. Information will be provided on how to utilize supports within the school district and the school community. Strategies in this session will demonstrate the value of knowing your students, fostering an inclusive and welcoming learning environment and promoting student success."
