This session will focus on enhancing teachers’ understanding of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) from a strengths-based perspective. We will provide a general overview of ADHD, outline a strengths-based approach and its applicability to this population, and provide clear and practical recommendations for classroom-based supports for these children, as well as others in the class. Intervention suggestions will incorporate academic, behavioural, and social-emotional components and will be applicable for elementary, middle, and high school teachers.
