Julia has a rich traditional background. She was raised in a family living off the land in Wood Buffalo National Park. She is honoured to have been given many teachings. Fort McMurray is home, where she and her husband raised their 3 sons. A teacher for FMPSD currently on secondment with the Alberta Teachers’ Association, its commitment by establishing the Walking Together: Education for Reconciliation Professional Learning Project
