Steve is a CBE teacher and co-founder and co-president of ScratchEdYYC, a group of educators in Calgary who are exploring and connecting around task design and using Scratch as a classroom tool. Over his last 23 years he has worked with technology and students from K-9 and recently completed his MSc at the University of Calgary with a focus on EdTech and Computational Thinking. He is a frequent presenter at the Calgary Teacher's Convention, and has tons of experience helping teachers use Scratch in the classroom. Steve's big Scratch highlight was having the opportunity to travel to the MIT Media Lab and present the projects that he challenged his students with to teachers from all around the world, as well as the members of the Lifelong Kindergarten Group (the creators of Scratch!).
